The trade craft represented below is emergent as a practice of Embedded Photography, that is, joining, melding, and quickly becoming a background fixture whereby life can be documented with minimal interference. As subjects get comfortable, a scene shift occurs as the photographer’s own love and joy begins to show the subjects in an intimate light. Most work is using available light to keep minimal technical intrusion. If interested for a project please leave a note, project durations are usually one to two weeks minimum, on site where there is experience in subjects, and longer if there is an absence of skill in subjects’s lives.
It should be stated upfront that agreements inclusive of travel, accommodations, housing, and project fees will be expected as there is significant investment in not only the production of digital assets for clients, but also in training clients in working with photo-journalist documentarians.
Equipment consists of a variety of Canon DSLR, Point and Shoot, and iOS devices.
