Oh dear friends of the seven factors, do not fret! Though ignorance may bring about an attempt to conceal, concealment is not self, concealment is not other. It is exactly impermanent. These very five heaps, these are empty, not self, not other, not we, not they. Just these seven factors are factors.
Oh dear friends of the four immeasurables, do not fret! Though ignorance may bring about broadcasting, broadcasting is not self, broadcasting is not other. It is exactly impermanent. These very five heaps, these are empty, not self, not other, not we, not they. Just these four immeasurables are immeasurable.
Oh dear friends of the six perfections, do not fret! Though ignorance may bring about boasting, boasting is not self, boasting is not other. It is exactly impermanent. These very six perfections, these are empty, not self, not other, exactly impermanent. Just these six perfections are perfect.
Oh dear friends of the eightfold path, do not fret! Just these eight aspects are the path, this path is not self, this path is not other. Have not limitless enlightened wisdom, inspiring verbal intimation upon sight of suffering, not said so for limitless kalpas? Has not buddha said so quite clearly? Has not the wish fulfilling gem granted the seven factors, the four immeasurables, the six perfections, the eight folds of the path as friends, the wish to put an end to suffering? Has not the realization of anatta washed away fretting over immeasurable karma? Just these seven, four, six, and eight are the practitioner, devoid of self, and as it is not self, it is not other.
Taking sangha for we, this is the diminishing of the light of wisdom and obscures the precious lamp illuminating limitless beyond the three times. Taking sangha for we, taking the friends of the seven for we, taking the four for we, taking the six for we, and taking numerous other enumerations for we is a thicket of views, but do not fret! Just as concealment is impermanent, just as concealment is exactly impermanent, so too with broadcasting, so to with boasting, so to with taking phenomena for self, so to with taking phenomena of phenomena for we. This is exactly exchanging ignorance for wisdom. See directly.
Just as this practice is not mine, this practice is not ours. This practice is exactly what has been laid out for limitless kalpas by buddha, bodhisattva, bhikkhu, and lay beings. The way is not self, the way is not other, the way is not us, the way is not theirs. Just as it is so, the way is not mine, the way is not another’s, the way is not ours, the way is not theirs. Oh assembly of mara, do not fret, just as it is so for one pole of the vajra, so to is it so for the other. Shame is not self, shame is not other. Shame is exactly impermanent.
And what is lama? Just these seven factors, just these four immeasurables, these six perfections, this eightfold path. Just this is the lama. Did not limitless buddha, and limitless bodhisattva say this across limitless kalpas, across limitless realms?
And what is a noble friend? Just these these seven factors, these four immeasurables, these six perfections, this eightfold path. Just this is the noble friend. The whole of the holy life. Just this is the noble friend. Did not limitless buddha, and limitless bodhisattva illuminate this across limitless kalpas, across limitless realms?
Taking lama for self, taking noble friend for self, taking an assembly of lama for we, taking an assembly of friends for we. This is obscuration.
And now, obscuration is impermanent, it is not permanent, it is empty, it is exactly empty. It is seen directly, and it had been seen indirectly. And of the seeing, is stillness, absorbed, perfected. It is so, and it is so in the beginning, so in he middle, so in the end, through and through as a water purifying gem purifies water, as the wish fulfilling gem grants wishes.
Fretting is not self, fretting is not other, fretting is not mine, fretting is not theirs, far apart from perverted views, one dwells in nibbana. Gone, like a lamp extinguished, beyond, far beyond… until all beings liberated, not self, not other, not we, not they, not us, not them, not mine, not another’s, not ours, not theirs, not so because, not so in the past, not so in the future. And what now is there to realize is that not brahma, not yama, not eternalism, not nihilism, not dualism, not insepratism. Far apart from perverted views, limitless views, oneness view dwells in nibbana, put out like a lamp, the Palmyra Stump withers, suffering is no more…
