この詩は、コヨーテが変容しゴムの衣をまとい、静けさの中で決意を固めて進む様子を描いています。彼の身体は爪に変わり、荒々しい息を吐きながら星へ向かいます。名を変え、宇宙コヨーテとして新たな存在に生まれ変わり、天と火と水と地の世界を渡ることを表現しています。
